Once upon a time, the after-dinner conversation was a very common ritual with families. Everything from politics to philosophy to the stock market were subject matters. Going back even further, the men would adjourn to a smoking room, lighting up their cigars, pipes and cigarettes. The women would normally stay away not because they weren’t allowed but because of the cigar smoke smell. Not always though.
